Late October 2007: Edwin Collins performed a highly anticipated gig at the BBC's Electric Proms. These years followed a severe cerebral hemorrhage in 2005 that left him with significant physical and speech impairments, making his return to the stage a profoundly moving and inspiring achievement.
Early 1980s: Collins began his musical journey as the frontman for the Glasgow band Orange Juice. The band quickly garnered immense critical acclaim, lauded for their distinctive sound that blended post-punk urgency with a pop sensibility, characterized by jangly guitars and intellectual lyrics.
