Skills and mindset required to successfully launch and grow a business are often different from those required to lead and manage a team.

Leader:

• Strategist

• Inspiring

• Reassuring

• Idea prioritiser

Difficulties:

• Need to delegate tasks (difficult if they are used to having control)

• Trust team and verify if tasks are being completed correctly (needs to be adequately balanced)

• Learning to listen to the perspectives of others

• Having an open mind

• Being less reactive (entrepreneurs are used to taking quick action but they need to be more strategic)

• Manage emotions and their team members emotions (emotional intelligence)
