Excel Keyboard Shortcuts Quick Reference
Navigation and movement
Ctrl + Arrow key: Move to the edge of the current data region
Home: Move to the beginning of the row
Ctrl + Home: Move to the worksheet origin (A1)
Ctrl + End: Move to the bottom-right corner of the used area
PgDn / PgUp: Move one screen down / up
Alt + PgDn / Alt + PgUp: Move one screen to the right / left
F5: Open the Go To dialog box
Selection and range extension
Shift + Arrow: Extend the selection by one cell
Ctrl + Shift + Arrow: Extend to the last nonblank cell in the same row/column
Ctrl + Space: Select the entire column
Ctrl + A: Select the entire worksheet
Ctrl + PgDn / Ctrl + PgUp: Move to next / previous sheet
Data entry and editing
Enter: Complete a cell entry and move to the next cell (context: move down)
Tab: Move to the right after entering data
Shift + Tab: Move to the left after entering data
F2: Edit the active cell
Shift + F2: Edit a cell comment
Alt + Enter: Add a new line within a cell
Ctrl + F3: Open Define Name dialog box
Formulas and names
Ctrl + F3: Open Define Name dialog box
F3: Paste Name window
Shift + F3: Open Insert Function (or Function Arguments) window
Ctrl + Shift + Enter: Enter a formula as an array formula
F9: Calculate the active worksheet
Shift + F9: Calculate the active worksheet (alternative)
Ctrl + Alt + F9: Calculate all sheets in all open workbooks
Calculation controls
Ctrl + Alt + F9: Recalculate all sheets in all open workbooks

Date and time insertion
Ctrl + ;: Enter the current date
