Selective Breeding: the breeding of organisms that have specific desirable traits; e.g. horse + donkey = mule that is faster, has more endurance, and is more surefooted.
Genetic Engineering: manipulation of the genetic code to obtain a desired product; changing the DNA of an organism to produce a singe protein; like copy and past.
Applications of Genetic Engineering: medicine, agriculture, and biology; vaccines, artificial insulin, and crops producing more yield with less costs.
Cloning: produces an identical copy of a cell or organism; the first cloning was a sheep named dolly in 1996.
