Practical 1 Questions (5 marks)

1.1    (2 mark) Think about the GIS data layers you were provided with in Practical 1 (e.g., ‘pop_centres’, ‘lgas’, ’dem’). Propose ONE fundamental discovery geographic question and ONE practical decision-making question you could answer with any one or all the data layers. (Notes: the question you propose should be specific to the GIS data provided in Practical 1. When describing geographic question, make sure that you clearly list the GIS data you need to address this question.)

1.2      (1 mark) In no more than 50 words, identify ONE example of positive application of GIS technology in your field and explain why it is important.

1.3      (2 mark) Present a screenshot of the map you created for Practical 1 using the three data layers provided ‘pop_centres’, ‘main_roads’, and ‘lgas’.
