Getting ahead of the Band Wagon!: The title uses an exclamation portraying the importance of this lapse of judgment but also the emotions that are coursing through people when they are investing. The bandwagon in the title means the general population or the prosperity of the nation while the getting ahead part refers to the stocks prices going ahead of whats actually happening in the country. The title summarizes the point that the author is trying to make quite clearly that stock prices are going ahead of reality.
Tone: The tone is quite satirical as the man symbolizing the wall street stock boom is jumping around, while it is quite a serious matter as many people in this have their whole financial lives on the stock market. This can be seen from the many stars and exaggerated movements of the character, ridiculing and showing the baselessness of the stock markets boom. On the other hand, the man who is part of the national prosperity band wagon looks exasperated. In turn, reflecting the gravity of the matter at hand the entire economy of the world.
Point: Ultimately through a satirical yet at times consequential tone, the symbolism of the stock market and the actual economy and the use of the witty while also informational title, the author tries to warn the audience of the buffoonery of the exaggerated optimism in the stock market, having no claim in reflecting the national prosperity that it is leaving behind.
