Script HVLA Typical Cervical (C2-C7)C4ERRSR

    • C4: Extended, rotated right, and side bent right.

    • Thrust technique involves anterior translation at C4 for inducing motion.

Steps for Performing a Rotational Thrust

  1. Position fingers:

    • Middle finger on C4 and index finger on C5.

  2. Perform anterior translation to induce motion at C4.

  3. Safe Zone Movements:

    • Utilize flexion and/or side bending movements.

    • Side bend right until motion is felt at C4.

  4. Engage with flexion at C4 to maintain safe positioning.

  5. Rotate to the left up to the barrier, ensuring patient relaxation.

  6. Instruct Gage to take a deep breath, relax, and perform the thrust.

    • Aim for a swift, high-velocity thrust with low amplitude.

Translational Approach in Thrust Techniques

  • Focus on translational thrust for treatment.

  • Diagnosis of Gage:

    • C5: Extended, rotated right, and side bent right.

    • Repeat similar steps as with C4 for successful application.

  • Manual Techniques:

    • Adjust according to personal comfort and manual variations.

    • Isolate motion at C5 on C6 through anterior translation.

    • Stay within safe zones while performing side bending and flexing before rotation.

  • Finalize treatment with a transitional thrust, and reassess the patient afterward.
