Technology Literacy
- Definition: ability to use digital technology, communication tools or networks to locate, evaluate, use, and create information.
- Focus: responsible, independent or collaborative use of technological tools to access, manage, integrate, evaluate, create and communicate information.
General Literacy (LITERACY)
- Concept: a continuum of learning wherein individuals achieve their goals, develop their knowledge and potential, and participate fully in their community and wider society.
- Core: ability to identify, understand, interpret, create, communicate and compute using printed and written materials.
- Essential skills and competencies that allow individuals to engage with media and other information providers effectively.
- Purpose: develop critical thinking and lifelong learning skills to socialize and become active citizens.
