Course Outcomes

  • Communicate the relevance of studying and learning the mind and how we think, reason, remember, and learn as human beings

  • Summarize the processes of sensation, perception, attention, memory, and problem-solving, including their neural bases

  • Recognize the practical applications of the study of cognition, such as eyewitness testimony and the concept of false memories

  • Describe the most common disorders related to cognition, including disorders of sensation and perception, attention, memory, and thinking

  • Discuss implications and applications of selected research findings in the field of cognitive psychology from a Biblical worldview and the perspective of intelligent design
