What is prepositions?

Is a word or group of words used before a noun, pronoun, or noun phrase to show place, location, relationship, directing time or to introduce an object.

Examples of prepositions

Behind, at, Infront, under, under, above, across, on, over, in, besides, through, forward, by, inward, into, onto, outside, inside, into etc.

Preposition of time

Are the prepositions that are used to show time in English there are four prepositions that are used with time in, on, at, since

“in” i)to show general period of time like past, present & future i.e. i will be a banker in the future

ii) used to talk about years i.e. I was born in 1999.

iii)talk about seasons, months and weeks i.e. In June.

IV)general parts of the day i.e. in the morning

V)countries, cities, enclosed spaces.

“On” shows dates, days of the month &weeks, holidays with days.

“At” used to talk about 1) specific time

2)holiday with day

“Since” shows date & time

Preposition of place

Is used to show the location or position of someone or something.

Examples of preposition

Under, between, in, on, over, above, beside, through, behind, on top of, inside, etc.
