reproduce: to produce more organisms of the same kind
similarity: having features that look alike or are the same
seedling: a young plant grown from seed
trait: a quality that makes an organism different from
another organism
larva: the first form of an animal that looks very different
from its parents
pupa: the life-cycle stage of an animal enclosed in a
protective covering
offspring: a plant or animal produced by its parent
inherit: to receive from a parent
sibling: one of two or more offspring having the same
parent
heredity: the passing of traits from parent to offspring
