Microchip Scanner Maintenance and Charging Protocols
Microchip Scanner Location and Maintenance
Two microchip scanners are located in the pharmacy area.
Devices must be checked daily to ensure they have sufficient battery power.
Scanners do not require charging every single night, but regular monitoring is necessary.
Battery Status and Charging Procedure
To check the status, flip the switch to the "on" position and observe the battery icon on the display.
To charge the device, slide off the back cover and remove the rechargeable battery.
Connect the battery to the provided USB cables and power bank plugged into the wall.
Charging Safety and Availability
Important: Scanners must not be left to charge overnight.
Charging should be conducted only while staff are present in the clinic.
Maintaining two scanners ensures that a functional device is always available if one is dead or currently charging.
