Chapter 1: School Education
1. Early Childhood Care and Education: The Foundation of Learning
1.1. Critical brain development occurs before age 6; Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) is essential.
1.2. Quality ECCE is lacking for many, particularly from disadvantaged backgrounds.
1.3. ECCE framework will incorporate local traditions and be developed by NCERT.
