Actin/Myosin

2 strands of fibrous actin form a double helix extending the length of the myofilament and are attached to either end of the sarcomere

They have an active site and an actin site that can bind myosin during muscle contraction

Tropomyosin: 

  1. An elongated protein winds along the groove of the actin double helix
