James 5
James 5
“…This corroded treasure you have hoarded will testify against you on the day of judgment.“
What you treasure will testify on your behalf on the Final Day.
Jesus will testify for you! let not your own tongue bring you praises (Proverbs 27:2 Let another praise you, and not your own mouth !!)
“Dear brothers and sisters, be patient as you wait for the Lord’s return. Consider the farmers who patiently wait for the rains in the fall and in the spring. They eagerly look for the valuable harvest to ripen.“
(refers to grown crops)
some fruits may be harvested early, some very late, though when the fruit ripens does not devalue the fruit in any way.
don’t rush the Lord!
→ If you rush, you may have had your fruits growth cut short! Don’t assume something is done growing because it is good, wait till is it extraordinary. Your own understanding cuts short God’s glory!
Ecclesiastes 11:4-6 “Those who wait for perfect weather will never plant seeds; those who look at every cloud will never harvest crops.”
(refers to seeds)
have faith that overrides your expectations and understanding
when God requires patience, it is for you to take time to prepare. God is asking you to ground yourself firmly so that you may not be swept away.
