Steady State System
The steady state system is described as a “variable [being] added continuously to maintain a constant condition” and is NOT at equilibrium.
literally what ????? me too
dw lol igu
let’s use the example of a … playground seesaw.
let’s say it is PERFECTLY balanced in the middle. nobody is moving and everything is still. in ur body, equilibrium would mean that there is NO change happening at all, like if ur heart stopped beating or u stopped breathing
(playboi carti reference)
IN OTHER WORDS — everything would be still, but that is NOT what we wanna see in a healthy body!!
cause yk
we’d be dead……….
SEE NOW WITH THE STEADY STATE SYSTEM…
still with the seesaw example. imagine your younger sister and your brother are on it. they are going up n down, but the seesaw isnt tipping too much to one side or the other. it’s moving, but it is BALANCED.
THIS is like a steady state in your body—your heart is beating, you’re breathing, your blood is flowing, and everything is working together to keep you healthy and balanced
SO ALL IN ALL
a steady state means things are happening and moving (our heartbeat for example), but they are not occurring in a balanced way, which in turn, it’s NOT the same as equilibrium, where EVERYTHING would stop moving altogether. our body is in a steady state, when it’s working to keep everything just right, but it is NOT AT ALL at equilibrium because things are still very much active & changing!!!
hope this helped :ppp
