GAD and GEDSI
GAD- gender and development (FOCUSES ON GENDER BASED INEQUALITY)
it is an approach that prioritizes development planning and policy making (such as magna carta) that aims to empower women
Its purpose is to eliminate gender-based violence and discrimination as well as to ensure that men and women have equal opportunities.
GEDSI- Gender equality, Disability, and social inclusion (BROADER APPROACH SUCH AS GENDER ISSUES AND SOCIAL INCLUSION)
focuses on creating policies and programs to ensure no one is left behind
isnt only for gender but particularly marginalized groups as a whole such as PWEDS, ethnic minorities and economically disadvantages
aims to create an equal and inclusive environment for everyone, to destroy barriers
Both are connected yet different, however they both aim to ensure togetherness despite these differences.
