Course Objectives
Provide a one-term overview of biochemistry.
Explain life at the molecular level.
Introduce extensive terminology.
Relevant to fields like medicine, nutrition, and exercise science.
Foundation for further studies (medicine, pharmacy, kinesiology).

Textbook: Essential Biochemistry by Pratt and Cornely
Check if either full or online version is preferred (recommended, not required).

Midterm, Quiz, and Final Schedule
Midterm: Thursday, Feb 13 – 40% (60 MCQ’s)
Quizzes: Online, 5% total (1% each) on Jan 23, Feb 6, March 6, March 20, and April 3.
Final Exam: April 25, 8:30AM – Cumulative, 55%.
Regulations for Deferred Exams
Email within two working days for permission to defer midterms (not for finals).
Typical format: Short Answer for deferred midterms.
