Coral Reefs Notes
Imagine a coral reef like a big apartment building, and each apartment is home to a tiny animal called a polyp. These polyps like to live close together and share the same building. Now, when a new polyp wants to build its own apartment, it doesn't need a mommy and daddy polyp. Instead, it makes a copy of itself, like magic! This new polyp then builds its apartment right next to the first one, and they're all connected. That's how coral reefs grow bigger and bigger, with lots of connected polyp apartments all made from one polyp to start!
