→ Add the present of avoir (or sometimes être) at the start

→ Cut the ending of the verb and add an ending on

-er = -é -ir = -i -re = -u

• Nous avons donné Nous avons fini Nous avons vendu

• Vous avez donné Vous avez fini Vous avez vendu

→ Some verbs (usually movement verbs) take être.

→ These verbs’ endings change based on the gender of the speaker/subject or wether of not they’re speaking about multiple people. They take the regular PC endings’ then add an extra (e) or (s)
