The Parable of Talents / The Parable of the three servants : Responsibility and Stewardship MATTHEW 25:14-30- Jesus tells an allegorical story, the narrative offers valuable lessons on responsibility and stewardship(taking care of something)

A Wealthy Master Prepares for a Journey- a wealthy master prepares to leave his country for journey. He called his servants and gives then money. FIVE TALENTS, TWO TALENTS, AND ONE TALENT to manage while he is away. These sums represent different levels of ability or talent!

Different Levels of Ability- first servant received 5 TALENTS, possesses significant skills or aptitude. Second servant received 2 talents, level of competence. Third servant only got 1 talent, lesser capabilities. This does NOT imply any judgement on their character. It highlights how they responsibly manage it.

Using one’s skills wisely- When their master returned from their trip, hearing what each servant did during his absence. He commends those who used their talents wisely and increased the amount entrusted to them by engaging in trade and investing. 1st servant doubled their initial sum, 10 talents. Their diligence led to sucess. Lack of effort leads to punishment. The 3rd servant who had 1 talent buried it in the ground out of fear, and to avoid working. When confronted by his master, he wasn’t able to explain why he didn’t try. As a result, he lost his only talent.

CONCLUSION:Managing God’s Blessings- Conclusion is to use our talents and stuff because God blessed us with these. Regardless of their cirumstances, you have to be capable of managing the resources of life through responsible actions.
