Constitution is good, and will balance the powers of people, gov, and parties

factions are the main problem destructive, they will trot on other peoples rights for their own desires

following passions too much without thinking about the future / rights

true democracy cannot stop majority factions desires even if they are destructive / selfish

a republic will help control / blunt faction rule (mob rule less likely)

constitution will help reach the sweet spot more offten

we need to be careful for how much power we give to the gov

need to be careful bc power is hard to get rid of

it will affect not our generation but the future as well

concerned about how much power the constitution gives

ex: congress shall have any power they need if deemed necessary

states are weaker then federal gov, federal law is supreme

appropriate size of government is a huge focus for the disscussion
