Prefix -un

We are working on the prefix -un in fourth grade. I am wanting the students to have cards that allow them to create new words by combining the prefix -un with different root words. Examples of root words we can use include:

• happy (unhappy)

• do (undo)

• kind (unkind)

• lock (unlock)

• familiar (unfamiliar). This will help the students understand how the prefix changes the meaning of the words.
