  • Definition: Intermolecular forces are interactions between molecules, not within them.
    • They are not due to covalent bonds or interactions between ions.

Types of Intermolecular Forces

  • The following are types of Intermolecular Forces:
    • Dipole-induced dipole.
    • London dispersion.
    • Ion-dipole.
    • Dipole-dipole
  • Ionic bonds and Covalent bonds are NOT types of intermolecular forces.
