TOPIC 8 LESSON 3: GASOLL TOPIC VOCABULARY AND LUNAR PHENOMENA

TOPIC 9 LESSON 1: CELESTIAL BODIES AND COSMOLOGICAL MODELS
Topic 9 expands on celestial objects and the structure of the solar system. A "Star" is characterized as a ball of hot gas, comprised primarily of hydrogen and helium, which undergoes "hukuker fusione". Patterns or groupings of stars that suggest the outline of a figure or objects are known as a "Constellation".
Historical and modern perspectives are defined by two competing models. The "geocentric" model describes a universe in which Earth is at the center of revolving planets. Contrastingly, the "heilocent" model describes a solar system in which Earth and the other planets revolve around the sun. The path taken by these planets is an "ellispe", which is an oval shape that may be elongated or nearly circular. Knowledge of these systems is derived from "observation", which is defined as info or data that is gathered using the senses: sight, touch, hearing, taste, or smell.
TOPIC 9 LESSON 2: PLANETARY DYNAMICS AND ROTATIONAL CYCLES
Planetary movement is defined by several key physical elements and paths. The "axis" is an imaginary line that passes through a planet's center and its north and south poles, around which the planet rotates. "rotation" is the term for the spinning motion of a planet, while "revolution" refers to the movement of an object around another. The specific path taken by an object as it revolves around another object in space is called an "orbit".
Seasonal and orbital positions are marked by specific days of the year. The "Solocite" is defined as either of the days of the year on which the "San" reaches its greatest distance from the equator. The "equamir" is defined as either of the days of the year on which neither hemisphere is tilted toward or away from the sun.
