Animal Farm: Napoleon

Threatening- He created a climate of fear to remain in control; the animals are accused, attacked by the dogs, taken to “ the kancker’s” or executed without warning.

Power- He creates a society in which he has total power and no one can oppose him. “ Some Animals are more equal than others”

Context

Napoleon is an allegory figure for Joseph Stalin. Stalin was ruthless and corrupt ; he organised violent strategies for gaining and seizing power. Stalin used propaganda ; banned criticism, doctored photographs and he only spread propaganda about his great leadership.
