Physics Fields

Electric Potential/Voltage - the difference in potential energy per unit charge between two locations in an electric field

Electric Field - force potential at a given distance from a charge

Electrical Potential Energy (EPE) - the energy that is needed to move a charge against an electrical field

EPE - opposite charges store negative energy, like charges store positive energy, scalar

alike charges store - positive energy

opposite charges - store negative

Electric Potential Difference - work must be done to move a charge in an electric field

Fields in Parallel plates - electric field is same throughout

Sources - objects which produce fields around them that alter the space around it

Field lines - travel from positive(+) to negative(-), lines don’t cross

Stronger charges means - more field lines

Electric field outside parallel plates - is zero except at the edges

Magnitude of the field between the plates depends on - the magnitude of charge on each plate

Gravitational fields - collection of vectors at each point in space which decide the magnitude and direction of gravitational force

Gravitational field strength - the magnitude of the gravitational field vector at a point in space, force potential
