To write an equation that uses two points, you must first put it in slope formula. Y2-Y1 over X2-X1. Once the slope is found, substitute the slope and a set of points into the point slope formula. Y-Y1=m(X-X1). Y1 and X1 are the two points, and m is the slope.
When given the slope and a point, substitute it into slope intercept form where the slope is m and the points are y and x. Then, solve for b.
Standard form is AX + BY = C, where all numbers are integers, or whole numbers. These numbers can be positive or negative, but they must always remain whole.
