    6. Maintain heading and AS 55 kts and altitude

  2. Steep Turns

    1. Air speed 92-95 kts

    2. Maintain altitude

    3. Roll in: starting 45 degree turn (pull up)

      1. Left

        1. Put at 5 degree mark

      2. Right

        1. In between 2.5 - 5 degree mark

    4. Add power (100 - 200 ish RPM)

    5. Stay coordinated (use the rudders

    6. Dashboard parallel to the horizontal (pitch up)

    7. 360 degree turn

    8. Roll out: level off at original heading (nose down)

Landing and take off

  1. Landing maneuvers

    1. Left or Right downwind (AS 90 kts and RPM 2100)

    2. Abeam: 1700 RPM, white arc check - 1st notch flap 10 degree, carburetor heat on

    3. Descent 500 ft p.u.

    4. 45 degree turn to base

    5. Base: 2nd flap (25 degree) AS 80 kts

    6. Final: 3rd flap (40 degree) AS 70-75 kts

    7. Approach: Mastin center line

    8. Round out: power idle and pitch slightly up

    9. Flare: hold the pitch

    10. Land: clean flaps, carburetor heat off

    11. Exit the runway

  2. Slips

    1. Power idle

    2. Aileron into the wind (maintain center line)

    3. Full opposite rudder

    4. NOSE DOWN (AS 70-75 kts)

    5. On the runway: release rudder, aileron level, center line

    6. Land: clean flaps, carb heat off

    7. Exit the runway

  3. Power-On Stalls

    1. 1600 RPM (NO FLAPS)

    2. Maintain altitude

    3. Reach AS 60 kts

    4. Add power to 1800 RPM

    5. Pitch up to 17-20 degree mark

    6. Hold the pitch (level) - buffeting

    7. Hear stall horn, Say “eminent stall”

    8. Lower the nose to the horizon

    9. Full throttle (recover)

    10. Pitch up for AS 76

    11. Once established, lower nose, maintain altitude, 90 kts

  4. Power-Off stalls

    1. Power IDLE

    2. Ease the yoke down

    3. Hit 500 ft p.u. To descent (AS 70 kts)

    4. Pitch up gradually

    5. Use the rudder to maintain the heading

    6. Nose buffeting

    7. Hear stall horn, Say “eminent stall”

    8. Ease the yoke to the horizon

    9. Full throttle (recover)

    10. Retract 3 rd flaps

    11. Pitch up to see positive break

    12. Retract 2nd flaps

    13. Build airspeed and maintain positive climb

    14. Past 72-73 kts

    15. Clean flaps

    16. Once established, lower nose, maintain altitude, 90 kts

    1. Second notch (25 degree) flap

    2. Maximum runway used

    3. Brake hold

    4. Full throttle

    5. Engine instruments (check green)

    6. RPM (check stabilized)

    7. Release brake

    8. Maintain center line (use the rudder)

    9. Rotate 49 kts

    10. Pitch up where the dashboard is below the horizon (54 kts)

    11. After 50 ft AGL obstacles (1300 ft MSL)

    12. Pitch nose down to the horizon Vx = 64 kts

    13. Retract flaps (positive rate 60 kts)

    14. Maintain positive climb Vy = 76 kts

    15. Start the turn 2000 MSL (above 700 ft AGL or 300 ft AGL below traffic pattern)
