Brain Development and Neuroplasticity

Neuronal Pruning and Arborization

Neurons die, but this is a part of a normal developmental process called arborization. Unnecessary neurons are pruned away to make us more skilled at certain tasks. Childhood memories are often lost in this process.

Neuroplasticity

Neuroplasticity means the brain can always change. It emphasizes that one is never too old to learn new habits, change their way of thinking, learn a new skill, or be able to do something new.
