Three Elements Characterize the Church prayer:
1.Founded on the apostolic faith
2. Authenticated by charity
3. Nourished by the Eucharist
Christian Prayer – is a loving, conscious, personal relationship with God, our all-loving, good Father, who has adopted us through His beloved Son, Jesus Christ in the Holy Spirit.
Adoration – is the first attitude of man acknowledging that he is a creature before his Creator. It exalts the greatness of the Lord who made us and the almighty power of the Savior who sets us free from evil.
Contrition - an expression of sorrow, an acknowledgment of wrongdoing and a promise to amend one's life and avoid sin. ’
Thanksgiving- is saying “Thank you Lord” for all the petition we utter; every event and need can become an offering of thanksgiving.
SUPPLICATION-comes from the Latin verb supplicare, which means "to plead humbly." It is both a prayer on behalf of oneself and others. It is requesting either Material or Spiritual Blessings.
