Dawes plan - 1924

• usa loaned Germany 800 million gold marks

• Reparations lowed to 1000 million marks for the first 5 years

• Allies agreed to review reparations in accordance to German economic situation

• French withdrew troops from the Ruhr

• Allies given partial control of the reichsbank

Locarno pact - 1925

• Germany agreed to accept the western boarders

• Alsace lorraine to be french

• Eastern boarders to be settled peacefully

Kellogg-Briand pact - 1928

• 62 countries agreed to sign

• Aims to prevent future war

• Not to use military force to settle disagreements

Young plan - 1929

• total reparations bill reduced to $8 billion

• Payments to be made over 59 years

• Only obliged to pay a third of the annual sum each year
