He is head of the Birling family, he is also hard- headed, arrogant, patronising views about women, capitalist, possessive(on a number of occasions, refers to things and people as ‘his‘) he is apart of the older Generation.

Mrs. Birling.

She is cold hearted, snobbish, ignorant

Her cold, uncaring nature leads to her downfall as the Inspector forces her to unknowingly condemn her own son.

Shelia birling

She is the dughter of mr and mrs birling

At the start of the play they are having a celebratory dinner for her engagement to Gerald who is the son of a weathly businessman Sir George Croft.
