He is head of the Birling family, he is also hard- headed, arrogant, patronising views about women, capitalist, possessive(on a number of occasions, refers to things and people as ‘his‘)

Mrs. Birling

She is cold hearted, snobbish, ignorant

Her cold, uncaring nature leads to her downfall as the Inspector forces her to unknowingly condemn her own son.
