Characteristics of Living Organisms

  • Cellular Organization: All living things are composed of cells, which serve as the basic units of life.
    • Unicellular: Single-celled organisms.
    • Multicellular: Organisms composed of many cells.
  • Metabolism: Living organisms undergo various chemical reactions to maintain life.
    • Catabolism: Breaking down molecules for energy.
