Adding a focal point through framing shows a viewer exactly where to look

Doorways and windows make good frames but be creative

BACKGROUND ELEMENTS- can frame your subject and draw your eyes to the brightest part of the photo. Lenses like fish-eye lenses or wide-angle lenses, can create interesting effects

PHOTOGRAPHS

  • Neutral background

  • Natural frames e.g. hair, parts of the body like hands etc. can really help to frame the face

  • Contrasting colours between the frame and subject are helpful

  • Props for leading line, communicates the narrative

  • Represent person in different ways but target the same audience; through angle, composition, shot type, costumes, props
