Development Indicators and GNI
Development Indicators
- There is no single way to measure a country's development level. Development indicators provide some insight.
Gross National Income (GNI) per capita
GNI per capita is the total value of all goods and services produced within a country in a year, plus income from abroad, divided by the number of people living in that country.
GNI per capita facilitates wealth comparison between different countries.
However, it only provides an average income. The wealth distribution within the country might be unequal, with some earning significantly more than others.
