numbers 1-100:

  • when writing quatre-vingts (80) the ā€œsā€ at the end of vingts is only there when eighty is even.

  • when adding, if the ones place goes above ten then you have to translate it to teens (67+6= soixante-treize not soixante-dix-trois)

  • (jk i lied) when adding two numbers together you increase the dix to the teens. (not quatre-vingt-dix-trois but quatre-vingt-treize)

dates and times:

  • all days of the week are masculine

  • none are capitalized

  • articles = every

  • leaving an article off means just this week

  • jour=day

  • semaine=week

  • aujourd’hui = today

  • de (from) Ć  (to)

  • Ć  = at

  • when time is after thirty minutes then you go to the next hour and subtract an hour from thirty minutes and that’s your time!!

negations: ne…pas sandwich between a verb (the only verb you are describing)

infinitive: ER verbs, if it isn’t the main verb then keep the ER don’t conjugate

questions:

inverse - you switch the noun and verb. if the noun ends with a vowel and the verb begins with a vowel then you add a t in between. (elle-t-est) (est-ce) (y a-il)

est-ce que - just add in front of the sentence

tonal - add a question mark at the end
