In Recovery ❤️‍🩹

The greatest danger in our spiritual lives is not that we never start, it’s that we start and then abandon the process before the work is complete.

“In recovery”: a person is in the process of being restored, healed, strengthened, or returned to a healthy condition after experiencing an injury, illness, setback, loss, trauma, addiction, or difficult season.

Recovery is evidence that God is working!

Don’t mistake progress for completion and rush back into something before you’re ready.

James 1:2-4 MSG

2-4 Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way.

1. Recovery requires resistance

1 Corinthians 10:12 NIV

So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall!

The moment you think you’re beyond vulnerability is often the moment you’re most vulnerable.
