Happiness and the "Good life"":

modern: the good life is whatever makes you happy

  • socrates and plato(and many other):happiness is the by product of livin the good life- it leads to happiness becsuase it is the good / moral life

      • rudence

    • one key thing that happens is temperance- having self-control and making the decision that is best for me

    • the one who is not ableb to contral themself is the one who is less happy -0 beucse theya re not able to have self contrals
