Human Impact on the Ecosystem

Humans are the cause for many things that happen on Earth, both good and bad,

CO2 levels rising in the atmosphere also affect the ocean, which, in turn, affects marine life. Natural causes that result in CO2 levels rising are decomposing biomass, venting volcanos, wildfires, and more. There are also abiotic factors that come into play, such as the burning of fossil fuels (coal, oil, and gas), oil spills, etc.

As ocean pH drops, the ocean water acidity levels rise. This is because of the atmospheric CO2, which affects the ocean. Because of high acidity levels, many ocean animals will suffer.
