- severe delayed intellectual development
- 11-16 years old
- significant variety of development
- adopted before 6 months
- at 16 - IQ = 102
- adopted between 6 months - 2 years old
- at 16 - IQ = 86
- adopted around 2 years and above (privation)
- at 16 - IQ = 70
