Web-portal-based National Youth Parliament Scheme (NYPS) first launched on in Central Hall, Parliament House by the Hon’ble President of India, in presence of the Hon’ble Prime Minister and Members of both Houses.
Upgrade to NYPS (link: https://nyps.mpa.gov.in/) announced; removes restriction to recognised institutions—now open to every citizen.

Modes of Participation Under NYPS
Institution Participation
All recognised educational institutions eligible.
Sub-categories:
“Kishore Sabha” → students of Classes –.
“Tarun Sabha” → Undergraduate & Post-graduate students.
Institutions can conduct multiple sittings via separate registrations for different student batches.
Group Participation
Any group of citizens may organise Youth Parliament sittings following portal guidelines.
Individual Participation
Solo citizens attempt an online quiz on the theme “Bharatiya Democracy in Action.”

Entire registration & administration workflow online; institutions self-register.
Embedded E-training modules, videos, photographs, scripts for self-learning.
Post-event digital credentials:
Each participating student → Digital “Certificate of Participation.”

Administrative Requests & Action Points
Ministries urge all Bureau Heads, Boards, and institutions to:
Issue necessary instructions to maximise participation on a regular basis.
Encourage Boards to treat NYPS as an extra-curricular activity / project work.
