The social groups within which we are located shape what we experience and know, and how we understand and communicate. Group affiliations lead to different opportunities, working conditions, and degrees of power and influence.
Q-What does status quo mean?
The established structure of society that benefits some and disadvantages others. Powerful groups want to maintain their privileged position.
Q-How do feminists think working class people have similar experiences as woman?
Early feminist standpoint theorists substituted women for the proletariat (working class) and gender discrimination for class struggle.

How all aspects of a person’s identity are intertwined, mutually constituting each other.

Multiple sources of discrimination and intersecting oppressions experienced by individuals based on their identities.

Q-How can communication technologies be an extension of our senses? Give an example.
Extends the senses released through the nervous system in time and space, allowing us to process information beyond the limitations of our natural body.
Q-Postman was concerned with the ethics of the media. He asked did we gain more or lose more (TV, social media etc) by the invention and use of these media. What does it mean when we say we have sold our souls to the devil?
