• childish enthusiasm evolves into disillusioned adulthood 

the unknown , anonymous middle aged man resents his present life as he looks back to his youth full of inspiration and ambition .

the man recalls his perception of success as a child and the expectation that he will succeed but time hinders this oppotunity and gives him the mundanity of adulthood
