• An intersection between two limited access highways

• Connects the expressway ti a 2-lane street or major 4 lane roadway

Errors Entering the Highway

• Stopping on the ramp
• Holding the wheel too tight
• Making too many three point checks
• Looking at the mirrors or blind spots for too long
• Slowing down to make three point checks
• Not adjusting speed, endangering highway drivers
• Accelerating to a faster speed then highway traffic
• Not checking blind spots or looking for a gap in traffic to merge

Going the Wrong Way

• How to know if you’re going the wrong way: do not enter signs, pavement markings, flashing red lights, traffic approaching from ahead
• How do I get out of danger: make a u-turn
• What if I go the wrong way?

  1) Do not continue forward

  2) Immediately continue and take safest corse of action

  3) Use your horn and hazards to alert others

  4) Remove vehicle from path of opposing traffic
