• Constitution: The highest law in South Africa – protects our rights.

• Premier: The leader of a province (like KZN or Gauteng).

VAT (Value Added Tax)

• A tax paid when we buy most goods and services.

• Usually added at 15%.

• A tax paid by businesses on the profit they make.

National Budget

• A plan showing how the government will spend and collect money each year.
