1. Abscond: To leave secretly, evading detection.
2. Adulterate: To contaminate or make impure by introducing inferior elements.
3. Coalesce: To come together, especially from disparate parts.
4. Contend: Assert or claim, grapple with.
5. Convoluted: Roundabout, not straightforward.
6. Demur: To object or raise concerns.
7. Deride: To mock or ridicule.
8. Desiccate: To dry out completely, to suck out the vitality and passion.
9. Dogma: The official beliefs or tenets of particular sect or group.
10. Eulogy: Memorial speech for one who has passed, normally given at a funeral.
11. Fallacious: Relying on a fallacy and thus incorrect/misinformed.
12. Harangue: Diatribe or rant.
13. Litigation: Legal proceedings.
14. Misanthrope: Person who hates humanity.
15. Mitigate: To improve a painful, unpleasant, or negative situation.
16. Offset: To counterbalance or counteract.
17. Substantiate: To corroborate or give evidence of something.
18. Tractable: Can be easily influenced or managed.
19. Undermine: To weaken or compromise.
20. Whimsical: Fanciful or capricious.
