WHITE BLOOD CELL (WBC) COUNT

WHITE BLOOD CELL DIFFERENTIAL COUNT

  • Calculation Example:

    • If total WBC is 5.0 × 10^9/L:

    • Segmented Neutrophils (40%): (5.0×0.40)=2.0(5.0 × 0.40) = 2.0 (normal range 2.0-7.5)

    • Bands (3%): (5.0×0.03)=0.15(5.0 × 0.03) = 0.15

    • Lymphocytes (55%): (5.0×0.55)=2.75(5.0 × 0.55) = 2.75 (normal range 1.2-3.5)
