Russian prince invited for peace- shown undefended hill, and soldiers running away.
Nap very clear as to what he wants- gets to battlegrounds early, men scope land, understand where would be best place to move, place and fight.
Out talking to his men- scoping land. Personal leader. High affection from his soldiers. Many of the same soldiers again and again.

Fighting separate battles- tactical as it allowed them to have smaller battles- to France’s advantage. Russians used to having 1 big battle
French Squares- Like Roman technique- allowed French soldiers to fight on all sides.
Russians shot on the ice- thought to shoot ice not soldiers
Speed of movement- getting from place to place. No supply line
