6. Abducens

        1. lateral eye movement 2. passes through the superior orbital fissure

7. Facial nerve

     1. both sensory and motor

        1. facial movements 2. taste 2. passes through the stylomastoid foramen

8. Vestibulocochlear

     1. both sensory and motor

        1. hearing 2. balance 2. passes through the internal acoustic meatus

9. Glossopharyngeal

     1. both sensory and motor

        1. swallowing 2. gag reflex 3. voice 2. passes through the jugular foramen

10. Vagus

        1. innervates organs (heart, lungs, etc) 2. passes through the jugular foramen

11. Accessory

12. Hypoglossal
